Pediatric occupational therapists work with children and infants to enhance and facilitate the development of their “occupation” of play, learning, and socialization. Occupational therapists aim at providing therapeutic measures in order to facilitate the child’s holistic development and achieve optimum independence in their activities of daily life.
Occupational therapists provide treatment for children from birth through adolescence who may be limited by a physical injury or illness, neurological or cognitive impairment, a developmental or learning disability, or sensory integration dysfunction. Our therapists work closely with the family and other medical, educational and/or developmental specialists to serve the whole child.
